About AIG
Akamai Intelligence Group (AIG) is a specialized R&D firm focused on the intersection of distributed systems architecture and advanced autonomous governance. We build frameworks that allow multi-agent systems to operate securely in contested, degraded, and communication-denied environments.

Christopher Ramos brings a highly unconventional and empirically grounded methodology to distributed systems engineering: Culinary Operations Analysis.
Drawing on deep professional expertise as an Executive Chef and restaurant operations system designer, Ramos adapts the high-pressure, decentralized organizational paradigm of the classic Kitchen Brigade into formal software coordination architectures. In high-volume culinary operations, complex tasks are executed asynchronously by specialized nodes (stations) without constant top-down micromanagement. The environment itself—through tickets, physical staging, and standardized operational procedures (SOPs)—acts as a stigmergic state bus.
This biological and operational reality forms the foundation of AIG's approach to distributed synthetic cognition. By mapping the efficiency, fault-tolerance, and modular redundancy of brigade-based execution onto multi-agent AI, AIG develops systems that organically resist structural collapse and adversarial contamination.
Under this doctrine, a failure in one node does not crash the system. Because tasks are decoupled and state is shared persistently across the environment, the rest of the brigade can absorb the shock, re-route tasks, and maintain mission continuity. This provides a battle-tested model for scaling robust, resilient autonomous behavior in adversarial landscapes.
