Capabilities

Akamai Intelligence Group — Technical Capability Overview

AIG's core capability is governance architecture for multi-agent AI systems. We design, implement, and empirically evaluate frameworks that keep distributed AI collectives controllable, auditable, and resilient under adversarial conditions — with human authority preserved at every decision layer.

All capabilities are delivered as research artifacts, evaluation frameworks, and architectural specifications. AIG is an independent R&D laboratory — not a software vendor, SaaS provider, or systems integrator.

Core Research Capabilities

Governed Multi-Agent Coordination Architecture
Design and empirical evaluation of governance frameworks for heterogeneous AI agent collectives. Covers role-bounded authority, sparse typed communication, provenance tracking, adversarial integrity, and constitutional override under contested conditions. Primary alignment: DARPA DICE program.
Adversarial Resilience Evaluation
GAL Benchmark Suite — 46+ evaluation scenarios covering authority escalation, coordination collapse, hidden coalition formation, hallucination cascades, Byzantine fault injection, mimicry attacks, constitutional drift, and split-brain governance failure. Formal benchmark results available (GAL-040B through GAL-046).
Causal Governance Auditing
Concept-level causal discovery pipeline for LLM governance decisions. 28-dimension binary activation vector system mapping agent decisions to governance concept states. PC-algorithm and HillClimb DAG inference on MCMC-augmented counterfactual datasets. Produces directed causal graphs of governance concept dependencies.
Governed RF Analysis & Edge Experimentation
LUC-adjacent governed RF workflow tooling. Bounded modulation classification, FEC code-family identification, GRAND-inspired lab experiments, controlled decoder wrapper audits, and adaptive decoder broker architecture. Offline dry-run default — no live RF capture, no transmit, no protected payload recovery.
Distributed Governance Cognitive Architecture (DGCA)
Formal systems specification for governance-first distributed AI. Covers context-governed collective behavior, local inference, sparse activation, role boundaries, provenance, and adversarial integrity as first-class architectural controls. Validated against 500-node logical agent deployments under local test conditions.
